5.3.2 Write to employer
If suitable or pre-injury employment (1) In this Part — pre-injury employment means the employment of a worker in a position which is the same as or equivalent to the position in which the worker was employed before receiving the injury has not been proposed and adequate RTW planning or consulting has not been undertaken follow this up with the employer in the first instance.

Prepare and issue the RTW obligations letter to the employer. |
Follow up employer response | The employer is given 14 days from the date of the letter to provide details of suitable employment proposed to the worker and if requested, RTW planning and consultation undertaken or reasons for not complying with their obligations. |

If an employer does not respond within the 14 day timeframe follow up with the employer until a response is received. Refer to WorkSafe’s RTW Inspectorate for further advice if the employer refuses to respond. |
